I love the suspense created by the exact moment you chose to capture. The 'souls' are just short of leaving their old bodies and a second away from entering their new ones. The way the branches of the tree weave through the upper ghost in the same place the roots break up the form of the one underground is a great detail. The bones, fungi, and autumn leaves comment on life and death, and whether or not that's really all there is. For me there is a lot of thought wrapped up in this lovely, deceptively simple little picture. You're awesome!
